SANA'A June 09. 2024 (Saba) - Director of al-Wahda district of Capital Sana'a Sami Humaid on Sunday inaugurated a project to distribute meals to the poor and needy on the occasion of the bleesed ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.
The project, being implemented by the local authority in the district in coordination with al-Wissam Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response and El-Ihsan Kitchen in the neighborhood, includes distributing meals to more than 300 poor and needy families.
Humaid stressed the importance of implementing such charitable projects to alleviate the suffering of the poor and needy, especially in these blessed days, stressing the commitment to the distribution mechanism for beneficiaries and ensuring the delivery of meals to those who deserve them.
He called on civil society organizations and the wealthy to contribute to adopting and supporting such humanitarian and charitable works and initiatives, as this would enhance the values of compassion and social solidarity.
