NEW YORK June 8 . 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has said that nine out of ten children in the Gaza Strip suffer from severe food poverty.
In a series of posts on the X platform, WFP said that "hostilities and restrictions on aid have led to the collapse of food and health systems."
Palestinian families, displaced from Rafah, are now living in areas suffering from lack of clean water, medical supplies and fuel, living with limited food assistance.
WFP said that, in order to reach more people with fewer resources, it is forced to reduce rations and prioritize hot meals produced in community kitchens.
