TAIZ May 12. 2024 (Saba) - The security services in Taiz province on Sunday confirmed the killing of four criminal elements wanted by justice in al-Taezeyah district in the province.

In a statement, Taiz province Police stated they carried out on Saturday morning a security campaign to a-Hansar area in the district to arrest a number of wanted persons against whom coercive arrest warrants had been issued for committing a number of crimes, including murder, banditry and forced theft.
The statement indicated that the security campaign, upon its arrival in the area, was able to surround the house of one of the wanted persons while he was inside it.
It said the Police demanded the wanted to surrender himself and informed him that it had parliamentary permission to search the house by the women’s police, but the accused, along with other members of the gang, began shooting, then they managed to escape from the house.
The statement added after following the wanted the criminals threw a bomb which directly exploded near one of the campaign vehicle and opened heavy fire on the security men, injuring four security, including the official-in-charge of Ga'ar area who was accompanying the security campaign.
It added that this situation required security men to respond to the sources of fire, killing four gang members.
