HODEIDA May 09. 2024 (Saba) - Bajil Agricultural Cooperative Society for Grain Producers in Hodeida province launched on Thursday the first phase of the economic empowerment project with white loans for dairy producers with disabilities.
The project, implemented under the auspices of the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, and the local authority in the province, includes the distribution of 60 dairy cows to 30 beneficiaries of the disabled in the district in the amount of 45 million Y.R, funded by the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled Fund.
During the inauguration, Samir al-Hanani, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, emphasized the project's significance in creating income opportunities for people with disabilities, enabling them to achieve self-reliance and fulfill their needs.
Al-Hanani called for collaborative efforts to expand empowerment initiatives, promote equality in society, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
