CAIRO March 21. 2024 (Saba) - The price of the United States dollars fell against the Egyptian pound in Egyptian banks in Wednesday's trading, recording at 47 pounds to one dollar.

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt decided in its extraordinary meeting at the beginning of March to raise the deposit and lending rates and the central bank’s main operation rate by 600 basis points to reach 27.25%, 28.25% and 27.75%, respectively. It was also raised the credit and discount rate increased by 600 basis points to reach 27.75%.
