SANA'A February 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Specialized Criminal Court of First Instance in Amanat Al-Asimah reviewed on Saturday the technical evidence in the cases of the bombing of the Grand Hall of Amanat Al-Asimah and the aggression against Yemen.

In the session, chaired by the President of the Court, Judge Yahya Abdul Karim Al-Mansour, and in the presence of a member of the Public Prosecution, Judge Khaled Omar, the defense lawyer in the case was given an opportunity to respond to the video scenes and statements of the leaders of the countries of aggression "America, Britain, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan", about the aggression and crimes committed by them against Yemen.

In addition, the court confronted a number of defendants in the assassination cell case with the written evidence attributed to them, in the presence of the defense lawyer.

The court approved the release of one of the defendants on bail, and bringing two of the defendants to the next session to complete the confrontation and trial procedures in accordance with the law.

The prosecution charged 49 defendants, 36 of whom are imprisoned, and the rest are fugitives from justice, with their assistance and communication during 2015-2020, with the countries of aggression Saudi Arabia and its allies, which are at war with the Republic of Yemen, and forming armed and organized gangs in the capital's secretariat and the governorates of Sana'a, Amran, Dhamar, Hajjah, Hodeidah, Ibb and Al-Bayda under the name of private security work and providing them with money, weapons and forged official documents.

According to the indictment, the tasks of the gangs were to monitor and raise information to the enemy, carry out assassinations, carry out ambushes, cause explosions and target military reinforcements heading to the battlefronts with important figures from the military, security and civilian leaders against aggression and destabilization of security and stability within the governorates with the intention of compromising the independence, security and territorial integrity of the Republic of Yemen and harming its military, political and economic status.

The decision indicated that those criminal acts resulted in the killing of the victim Raji Abdulmalik Ahmed Hameed Al-Din, a doctor at Sana'a University, and the attempted murder of two others, with another person being injured as a result of the crime due to the perpetrators' lack of accuracy in aiming, and giving aid to the injured, in addition to participating in a criminal agreement to attack and kill 16 individuals, including senior figures as well as carrying out bombing operations in fixed locations and public and private property in Dhamar and initiating several explosions resulting in casualties, injuries, and material and moral damages.
