SANA'A December 20. 2023 (Saba)-The Supreme Political Council confirmed that the movement of Yemen Republic in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab came in supporting the Palestinians, who are being subjected to brutal criminal aggression by the Israeli enemy in full view of the whole world.
In an extraordinary meeting today, chaired by His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Council considered the Yemeni people’s standing by Palestine, their valiant resistance and their just cause, a humanitarian ,moral position, consistent with international norms and laws, whose goal is to lift the siege on Gaza and allow entry into the country medicine, food and water for more than two million people.
The meeting of the Supreme Political Council came out with a statement, the text of which follows:
Dear son of the Yemeni people... free people of our Arab and Islamic nation and free people of the entire world... As we salute the Yemeni armed forces with their various land, sea and air components, as well as the Yemeni people and their lofty positions and the great mobilization in which they participated... we affirm the following:
1) The movement of Yemen Republic of in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab came in support of the Palestinians, who are being subjected to brutal criminal aggression by the Israeli enemy in full view of the entire world. It is a humanitarian and moral position and is consistent with all international norms and laws. Its goal is to stop the aggression, lift the siege on Gaza, and allow... By bringing medicine, food and water to more than two million people.
2) That the shipping lines are safe for all ships, except for ships linked to the Israeli enemy entity, or heading to occupied Palestine ports.
3) We consider the American step, along with some countries, to form a multinational force under the guise of protecting trade in the Red Sea, a hostile step whose goal is to protect Israel, militarize the Red Sea ,the Gulf of Aden, and harm the security of international navigation, and America bears full responsibility for everything that results from that.
4) We affirm that the Republic of Yemen is concerned with defending itself in the event that it is exposed to any attack or an attempt to prevent us from carrying out our religious and humanitarian duty in supporting our people in Palestine, it will be met with a strict response.
