MOSCOW November 29. 2023 (Saba) - Russian federal security in the eastern city of Kemerovo on Wednesday arrested a spy recruited by Kyiv intelligence.

The 36-year-old spy "decided to head to Ukrainian lands and join the Ukrainian forces," Novosti quoted the Russian security as saying in a statement.

"Investigation revealed that he had been in contact - via clandestine correspondence program - with an unidentified Ukrainian coordinator and expressed willing to travel to Ukraine to fight against Russian troops."

The detainee filled in an application for enrolment in Ukrainian forces and possessed camouflaged dress, drugs, bandages, communication devices and a travel ticket to Ukraine, before being arrested red-handed, according to the statement.
