JENIN November 29. 2023 (Saba) - A Palestinian young man and a child were injured by Zionist enemy gunfire when the enemy stormed Jenin city in the northern occupied West Bank and besieged its camp.
The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported on Tuesday evening that a young man and a child were injured by enemy forces' bullets in the foot and hand, and were taken to hospital.
The agency said the enemy forces obstructed the work of ambulances and used them as shields in storming the city, indicating that the enemy forces arrested two young men, whose identities were not known yet, inside a vehicle in Khallet al-Souha neighborhood.
It added the enemy forces fired stun grenades and toxic tear gas towards citizens and their houses in several neighborhoods, suffocating a number of citizens who were transferred to al-Razi Hospital.
Large enemy army forces, accompanied by bulldozers, stormed the city from several fronts, raided several neighborhoods, deployed their snipers on the roofs of a number of high-rise buildings, and imposed a siege on Jenin camp from all sides.
The agency indicated that the enemy forces were stationed in front of the emergency entrance of Jenin Governmental Hospital, in the vicinity of the hospital and on the outskirts of Jenin camp, and raided the neighborhoods of "Khallet al-Souha", "al-Zahraa", "al-Hadaf", "al-Jabriyat" and al-Sabah al-Khair suburb, and surrounded a house in al-Hadaf neighborhood, and called on a citizen to surrender himself using loudspeakers, amid an intense flight of occupation drones.
Director of Jenin Governmental Hospital Dr. Wissam Bakr told WAFA that the enemy forces searched the vehicles of the crews and employees, and deployed an infantry squad in front of the emergency room and in the hospital courtyard.
Confrontations also broke out between citizens and enemy forces in the vicinity of the Jenin cinema roundabout and in al-Jabriyat neighborhood.
Zionist enemy snipers fired bullets at citizens in the city's neighborhoods and enemy bulldozers began destroying the infrastructure, citizens' property, and vehicles on Haifa and Hospital Streets.
