DAMASCUS November 01. 2023 (Saba) - The Syria-based US base in al-Omar oil field, Deir ez-Zor, has been bombed with missiles, a Syrian source told al-Mayadeen early on Wednesday.
The shelling sparked violent blasts inside the US military base, the source added,
On Monday, the Albukamal-based crossing – between Syria and Iraq – resumed its activity after recovery from the US bombing on Monday dawn, as traveller and trade movement restarted.
The crossing, along with other areas deep in Syria, was offended by US aircraft in retaliation to earlier shelling on the US base in the same oil field.
On Sunday, 29 October, the Iraqi resistance targeted the US base in al-Omar oil field, following a similar attack on al-Shadadi US base in Syria with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that "hit its targets," according to the resistance.
Since the Aqsa Storm outbreak on 7 October, the Iraqi Islamic resistance repeatedly targets US military bases in Iraq and Syria.
