Gaza - Saba:
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition has announced in the early hours of Monday morning that Israeli occupation forces boarded the aid ship "Madeleine" bound for the Gaza Strip.
Communications with the ship were completely cut off, while Israeli occupation authorities reported that the ship's course was diverted toward the coast of the occupied Palestinian territories.
The coalition added in a post on Telegram, as reported by Agence France-Presse, that the ship's crew was subjected to disturbing sounds broadcast over the radio, and that the ship was attacked in international waters by quadcopter drones that sprayed it with an irritating white substance.
The coalition reported late Sunday evening that the ship's alarm had been sounded and life jackets had been prepared in anticipation of any potential obstruction of its course.
The coalition said in a post that "the Israeli occupation forces boarded the Madeleine and kidnapped its crew."
Mahmoud Abu Odeh, the media official for the Freedom Flotilla Coalition based in Germany, said, "It appears that the activists have been arrested."
For their part, the Israeli occupation authorities stated that a Freedom Flotilla Coalition ship bound for Gaza was taken to the coast of the occupied Palestinian territories after the Israeli navy ordered the ship to change course when it approached what they called a restricted zone.
The ship had set sail from Sicily last Sunday toward the Gaza Strip, aiming to deliver aid and break the blockade imposed on the Strip.
