Washington – Saba:
Severe storms swept across several southern US states on Sunday, resulting in at least two fatalities and causing power outages for nearly 150,000 people from Texas to South Carolina.
The storms brought down trees and power lines, unleashing heavy rain, hail, and strong winds as they moved through the region.
Authorities confirmed one death in Mississippi, where a person was killed in Lafayette County when a tree fell on their car.
Multiple tornado warnings were also issued across northern Mississippi.
In Georgia, the governor announced that one person died in Banks County last night after a tree struck their vehicle.
