On Wednesday, which coincides with the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1445 AH, the Islamic world celebrated the birth of the Master of Mankind.
As usual, the Yemeni people led the rest of the peoples of the Islamic world with major, million-man marches in dozens of squares in the capital Sana’a, and various free governorates, unparalleled in history, in unprecedented celebrations that are considered the largest in the history of Yemen and the Islamic world.
On this great day every year, Muslims in various countries of the Islamic world celebrate the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad may God bless him.
As this day begins, the Islamic world stands in awe of the anniversary of the birth of the master of creation, Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.
The customs and rituals of commemorating the Prophet’s birthday differ according to the countries between the East and the West, and even between different regions within the same country.
In Iraq, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani participated in the central celebration held on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday at the Sunni Endowment Office in the capital, Baghdad, amid a large popular presence.
Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid congratulated the Iraqi people and the Islamic nation on the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth, saying: “We recall on this occasion the highest values of the heavenly message that the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.”
Over the course of the whole week, many activities were held to celebrate the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday in Najaf and many Iraqi cities, with the participation of poets from eight Arab countries.
In occupied Palestine, schools adopted the organization of a complete school radio broadcast about the Prophet’s Noble Birthday 1445-2023, with an introduction and conclusion written for all students in order to present it on the special radio day commemorating the Prophet’s Noble Birthday to this world.
As for Turkey, several states organized celebratory events to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. The Turks received the noble birth of the Prophet in mosques by reading the Holy Qur’an and exchanging congratulations and blessings.
The largest mosques in Istanbul commemorated the Prophet’s birthday, and many citizens, including children and women, participated in these celebrations.
While Syria, like most Islamic countries, witnessed special celebrations on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, these celebrations include many religious and cultural events and activities.
Syria continues its celebrations of the Prophet’s birthday for a whole month, and Sufi chanting groups stand out on this day, during this period, religious and cultural events are encouraged to commemorate the honorable birth of the Prophet.
Jordan also joined the Arab and Islamic worlds in celebrating the anniversary of the birth of the Master of Creation and Messengers, Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon, which constituted a qualitative shift in the approach of the Arab nation, transforming it from a nation fanatical about the customs of pre-Islamic times to a nation that is tolerant and coexistent with others.
Algerians celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, as mosques are filled after the sunset prayer, as imams devote lessons to the Prophet’s biography.
While Moroccans celebrate the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, it goes back to the era of the Almohads who ruled Morocco between 500 and 620 AH, and who worked to commemorate the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday to confront the threat of Christians in Andalusia.
In Indonesia, the people of Java celebrated the birthday of the Prophet, as the occasion is a good opportunity for them to call for the spread of Islam by presenting the types of activities that the Javanese people love.
The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, celebrated the noble birth of the Prophet in the year 1445 AH, where a religious evening was held in Sur district in the South Al Sharqiyah.
In Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sponsored the celebration of the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, at Al-Manara Hall in New Cairo.
In France, the aspects of the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday in 2023 vary from one place to another, as Muslim communities cook delicious foods and distribute sweets, especially to children.
