TEHRAN July 25. 2023 (Saba) - Iranian Assistant Minister of Defense for Industrial Research Affairs Afshin Sharif on Tuesday announced that Martyr Qassem Soleimani ballistic missiles will be handed over to the Revolutionary Guards in the near future.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted Sharif on the sidelines of the ceremony of handing over Abu Mahdi cruise missile to the Iranian army and Revolutionary Guards as saying talking about artificial intelligence has different level, indicating that vision is its lowest level.
Sharif added the smart bombs that have a researcher and a camera are considered the lowest level of artificial intelligence.
He pointed out that the use of artificial intelligence has different levels such as vision, understanding, memory, and even independence, which is considered the last level, which means that the weapon system can see itself, decide and act on its own, and then form a learning environment for it.
Sharif explained that the levels of artificial intelligence depend on the system of each weapon, each operation it wants to perform, and the capabilities we expect from its performance are different.
Sharif stated that cruise missiles everywhere in the world have two advantages, the first is that they fly at a low level, and the second is their ability to maneuver when the missile's height decreases without being noticed by the enemy, which deprives the enemy of the opportunity to respond in a timely manner.
