MARIB May 06. 2024 (Saba) - The Governor of Marib, Ali Muhammad Taaiman, today inspected the progress of work in Qaniya area water project initiative in Mahliyah District.
Governor Taiman heard from the directors of the branches of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects, Ali Al-Samsam and Humanitarian Affairs, Saleh Al-Sharif, about the people’s initiative to dig the well and the studies carried out by the branch of the Rural Water Projects Authority, to transform it into a water project, provide it with a solar energy system, and create a water tank, pumping lines, a network, and other ancillary works.
Al-Sammasam and Al-Sharif explained that the project, which costs $300,000, will benefit more than 12,000 people.
Governor Taaiman directed the completion of the necessary studies and the start of implementation of the project, to alleviate the suffering of the citizens of Qaniya city and those displaced there from neighboring areas.
He stressed the importance of these vital projects in meeting the population’s drinking water needs, stressing the need to adhere to technical and engineering specifications when implementing the project.
