IBB June 24.2023 (Saba) – Member of the Supreme Political Council, Sultan Al-Sami’i, honored today in Ibb province the winners of the award of the artist Abdul-Ilah Al-Baadani for literature and art in its third session 2023 AD, which was devoted to popular poetry.
At the honoring ceremony, which was attended by the Minister of Culture, Abdullah Al-Kibsi, and the Governor of Ibb, Abdul-Wahed Salah, Al-Sami'i affirmed keenness to develop cultural work and enhance its role in consolidating the faith identity and confronting the soft war waged by the aggression coalition against Yemen.
He praised the steadfastness of the cultural front in the aggression face, stressing the need for concerted efforts to hone the talents and creativity young people and harness them in the service of society.
The Supreme Political Member, Al-Sami'i, touched on the general directives of the state to achieve sustainable development, leading to self-sufficiency, and overcoming current challenges by relying on participatory action.
He stressed the community's ability to bring about real development to meet its various aspirations.
They touched on the conditions of the popular poetry competition, the arbitration criteria and the mechanism for receiving entries. We indicated that the results of the arbitration committee resulted in the poet Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Nazami from Al-Mahweet province winning the first place, while the poet Ibrahim Ahmed Muhammad Al-Basha from the Capital Municipality won the second place.
The results of the arbitration resulted in 31 poets, young men and women, winning material and moral prizes worth five million riyals.
On the sidelines of the honor, Al-Baadani Foundation, a member of the Supreme Politician Al-Sami’i, and the Minister of Culture, Al-Kabsi, presented the foundation with a first-class shield, in gratitude for their role in supporting the cultural and literary movement and encouraging talented and creative people.
