MOSCOW June 18. 2023 (Saba) - The Russian army has announced that the "East" army group had thwarted two attempts to attack by the Ukrainian army on the Zaporizhzhia direction.
The Russian news agency (TASS) quoted Oleg Chekhov, a head of the press center of the "East" group of the Russian army, as saying "In the Livadny region on the Zaporizhzhia direction, an enemy attack with a force that reached a company with the support of tanks was thwarted.
Two tanks and two armored fighting vehicles were destroyed, and about 70% of them were destroyed." The attack on the residential center of Pyatikhatki was repulsed,
Chekhov pointed out that during the attack, more than 10 tanks and many armored vehicles were destroyed, as well as the elimination of a large number of enemy soldiers.
He said that the Russian warplanes destroyed armored fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, and inflicted gunshot wounds on places where Ukrainian militants gathered in the Levadny Piatykhatky area. Russian air defense systems shot down many enemy drones.
The forces of the "East" group, with the support of artillery and warplanes, inflicted a fiery defeat on the enemy and thwarted its attempts to launch offensive operations in the Uragini region.
