MOSCOW June 05. 2023 (Saba) - A Russian official considered on Monday that the situation on the Korean Peninsula tends to escalate due to the actions of the United States and its allies.

Russia Today website quoted Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko in a statement as saying "We want the situation to be more predictable than it is now. Unfortunately, we do not have enough reasons for optimism in particular, as the actions of Washington and its allies raise tensions in this area".

"Unfortunately, the six-party talks have already been frozen and it is not because of us. We have said and sent appropriate signals that Russia is ready to resume the talks," Rudenko added.

Rudenko continued "But our Western colleagues do not respond to it and the situation, unfortunately, tends to escalate."
