SANA'A June 03. 2023 (Saba) - The General Attorney, Judge Dr. Muhammad Muhammad Al-Dailami, inspected the conditions of prisoners in the custody of the security zone in Al-Sabeen, Alaya and Al-Qalfan police stations, and the Alaya reserve prison in the capital's secretariat.

During the visit, the General Attorney heard from the Prosecutor of the South East Municipality, Judge Hamed Wahas, the Deputy Director of the Security of the Municipality, Brigadier General Taha Chaim, the directors of the remand prisons, Brigadier General Yahya Salah, and the security zone in Al-Sabeen, Brigadier General Abdul Ghani Kasilah, to clarify the nature of the seized cases, the number of detainees and the procedures taken in their regard.

Judge Al-Dailami inspected the detention wards and listened to the complaints of the inmates and the periods they spent in detention, and directed releasing a number of them, with guarantees in attendance.

He explained that the visit comes in implementation of the revolution leader's directives and the head of the Supreme Political Council to follow up the cases of prisoners, ensure the safety , procedures' correctness, and grant amnesty to those who deserve it and release them before the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

He stressed the integration of efforts, the strengthening of coordination between the prosecution and the security services in controlling crime, protecting society, defending rights and freedoms, taking into account the legal controls related to the imprisonment and detention of detainees in police stations pending criminal cases.
