MOSCOW June 01. 2023 (Saba) - The Russian Federal Security Service confirmed on Thursday that intelligence work had been uncovered to U.S. intelligence services using devices produced by Apple.
The Russian Security Service was quoted by Sputnik as saying: "The United States intelligence services tried to spy on Russia through the Apple communication services."
Russian Federal Security confirmed that the information obtained indicated close cooperation between the United States Intelligence Service and Apple.
"Thousands of phones from Apple have been hacked, including foreign embassies to Russia, including those from NATO countries and China."
It explained that Russian federal security has pointed out that Apple gives the US intelligence services a wide range of capabilities to monitor anyone, including America's anti-Russian partners.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday: "The Ministry of Defence, Border Guards, Emergency Services and local authorities are constantly reporting to President Vladimir Putin on the situation in the Belgorod region."
It is worth mentioning that the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine's Kharkiv region, has been subjected to heavy shelling in the past days, with the latest recent bombing causing five injuries.
