TEHRAN May 29. 2023 (Saba) - Commander of the Aerospace Forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Brig. Gen. Hajizadeh on Monday announced that the hypersonic missile passed its tests and will be unveiled soon.
Tasnim International News Agency quoted Zadeh in a statement as saying this new missile bypasses all missile shield systems, targets the enemy's anti-missile systems and is a major leap in the field of missiles.
He added the hypersonic missile is characterized by its high speed (about Mach 12 to 13) and can drill inside and outside the atmosphere.
Zadeh had stated during the commemoration ceremony for the 11th anniversary of the martyrdom of Maj. Gen. Hassan Tehrani Moqaddam, the founder of the Iranian missile program, that Iran had manufactured the "Hyper Sonic" ballistic missile, which exceeds the speed of sound and is capable of penetrating enemy anti-missile systems.
He said this new missile will pass through all missile defense systems, adding no technology can be found capable of confronting the missile, within decades.
Zadeh continued the missile targets the enemy's anti-missile systems and is considered a major leap in the field of missile industry of Iran.
