SANA'A March 28. 2023 (Saba)- The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water for the Environment Sector, Eng. Muhammad Al-Wadaei, discussed with the logistical director of the French Doctors Without Borders, Ahmed Mustafa, the cooperation between the Ministry and the organization in the environmental field.
The meeting, which was attended by the representative of the organization in Yemen, Engineer Sami Al-Matari, touched on aspects related to medical waste in hospitals and health centers, methods of treating or disposing of them safely to preserve the environment, the causes of water pollution , the spread of diseases and epidemics as a result of neglecting the environmental aspect.
In the meeting, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water praised the interest of the French MSF in environmental aspects and its keenness to preserve the environment during its work in Yemen.
He stressed the need to strengthen joint cooperation between the Ministry of Water and Environment and the organization, to deal with medical waste, as well as solid and liquid hospital waste, in an appropriate manner that preserves the environment and protects it from pollution.
