SAADA March 28. 2023 (Saba) - A press conference was held in Saada on Monday to review the human and material losses suffered by Saada Governorate as a result of the US-Saudi-UAE aggression over eight years.

At the conference, the governor of Saada, Muhammad Jaber Awad, confirmed that the governorate has been subjected to the largest share of the lava of aggression over eight years.

"We are today witnessing a growing recovery," he Jaber. He praised the role of the national media in covering events and developments, especially documenting crimes of aggression.

The Undersecretary of the Governorate for Humanitarian Affairs, Muhammad Hussein Beidan, pointed out that the aggression contributed to further exacerbating the suffering of poor and needy families.

For his part, the Director of the Human Rights Office, Yahya Al-Khatib, explained that the number of victims of aggression in the province, during the eight years, amounted to 12 thousand and 421 martyrs and wounded civilians, including martyrs of children and 284 children, 770 women.

He pointed out that the aggression destroyed 175,927 houses, six university facilities, 494 mosques, 30 tourist facilities, 85 health facilities, 335 schools and educational centers, eight sports facilities, 33 archaeological sites, four media facilities, and six thousand and 216 agricultural fields.

He touched on the losses of infrastructure in the province as a result of the aggression, as the aggression destroyed 53 stations and generators, the governorate's airport, one thousand and 625 roads and bridges, 158 networks and communication stations, one thousand and 108 tanks and water networks, and 192 government facilities.

Al-Khatib explained that the aggression targeted economic facilities in the province, destroying 45 factories, 51 fuel tankers, three thousand and 267 commercial facilities, 97 chicken and livestock farms, two thousand and 446 means of transport, 141 food trucks, 179 markets, 164 food stores, and 92 gas stations.
