TEHRAN March 07. 2023 (Saba) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani denounced on Tuesday the Zionist aggression against Aleppo Airport in Syria.
According to Tasnim International News Agency, Kanaani strongly condemned the aggressive and inhumane attack of the Zionist apartheid regime on Aleppo International Airport in Syria at dawn today.
He called on the responsible international institutions to take immediate and effective measures to stop the crimes of this entity.
Kanani said, "While those affected by the earthquake in Aleppo are going through difficult circumstances, the Zionist entity is attacking Aleppo airport, which is the main route for international aid to reach them, and this is a clear example of a crime against humanity."
He added, "Unfortunately, some Western countries and human rights organizations remain silent about the continuation of the brutal and inhumane attacks of the criminal Zionist entity on Syria, and this silence is an example of encouraging the aforementioned entity as an aggressor and violator of human rights and international laws and regulations."
The Zionist enemy entity carried out an attack targeting Aleppo International Airport with missiles, which led to it being out of service.
A Syrian military source said in a statement to the Syrian News Agency "SANA": "At two o'clock and seven minutes in the morning today, the Zionist enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction of the Mediterranean, west of Latakia, targeting Aleppo International Airport, which led to material damage at the airport and its exit from the service".
