HODEIDA, Aug. 20 (Saba) - The Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation issued a statement on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the aggression coalition targeting Hodeida port on August 7, 2015.

In a statement received by Yemeni News, the Corporation confirmed that the 7th anniversary of targeting Hodeida port by the US-Saudi aggression will take place in light of the 3rd announced truce that has been renewed for 2 months, and the aggression's side has not committed to implementing its provisions as before.

The statement confirmed that container ships have been facing a complete ban from entering through Hodeida ports since 2017, in addition to the detention of oil tankers covered by the armistice, for varying periods.

The Corporation indicated in its statement that Mocha port, which is under the UAE occupation and does not benefit from its services Yemeni people, not to mention the total cessation of work of Ras Issa oil dock in Salif, and the prevention of oil tankers from entering it since it was targeted by the aggression in the middle of the year 2017.

The Corporation pointed out that on the technical side, the United Nations and its organizations did not abide by the pledges of the Stockholm Agreement, which was concluded on December 13, 2018, and stipulated that the Development Program provide support to the Foundation to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Yemeni Red Sea ports under Security Council Resolution No. 2245 of 2019 AD. Nor did it work to transfer the UNVIM mechanism for the supervision and inspection of ships from Djibouti to Hodeida port, according to the Stockholm Agreement.

Corporation confirmed in its statement that the aggression countries' targeting Yemeni ports is a cheap method that they have been using since their declaration of aggression against Yemen.

It is a clear and declared war crime and in full view and hearing of the international community, which is complicit with the enemy and who denies all human values and all relevant laws, charters and treaties.

Corporation reiterated in its statement that its ports play their humanitarian and relief role in accordance with international laws and norms, and comply with the international port security system, and ships visiting them are subject to United Nations control procedures.
