SANA'A, March 09 (Saba)- The Parliament discussed on Wednesday a number of important developments at the national arena.

It dealt with a referendum submitted by a number of legislators based on a complaint by the families of some detainees at the disposal of the events witnessed recently by the governorate of Aden.

In view of that, the parliament approved the invitation of Interior Minister to attend its meeting next Saturday to report on the complaint.

Moreover the parliament's members (MPs) exchanged views on the riots that took place in the Central Prison in the capital Sana'a.

Accordingly, the parliament mandated a committee to investigate the facts about those events, as well as the frictions that occurred with the protesters outside the gate of the Sana'a University and to report its findings to the parliament.

In their session, the MPs reviewed some actions which have caused and may cause disruption of the educational process in some schools and try to drag the students in the marches and sit-ins.

In this regard, the parliament directed the government , represented by Ministry of Education, to take legal procedures to prevent such anarchic acts to ensure the regularity of students in their schools.

In addition, the parliament also instructed Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance to ensure the regularity of the State staff in their work in conformity with the laws in force.
