Turkish investments in Yemen on the rise

SANA'A, July 17 (Saba)- Yemen welcomed the Turkish investments in Yemen, confirming it will offer all facilities to make such
investments a success.

Deputy of Industry and Trade Minister Ali al- Syaghi assured during the opening of Yemeni- Turkish joint conference, participating with
30 Turkish businessman, assured the adherence of Yemeni government to support the joint coordination between the Yemeni- Turkish
businessmen.

For his part, the Turkish ambassador to Sana'a Ozkaroul said that like these meetings are enhancing the economic relations between the
two countries, hailing the Yemeni- Turkish ties.

The two governments found a strong base for commercial cooperation, he said, pointing out to the coming role of businessmen of both
countries to support this base.

For his part, chairman of the Investment and Oil Development Company, the acting director of the Yemeni-Turkish Friendship Association
Abdul-Aziz al-Mekhlafi, said that the two governments "are going in
their cooperationin accordance with a trade mutual cooperation program signed before".

He affirmed the interest of Turkish businessmen to invest in Aden Free Zone (AFZ) "so they have started to establish giant projects
cost overUS$ 500 million.

The head of Turkish businessmen delegation confirmed that the Turkish investments size in Yemen reached US $ 750 million, saying there are many investment chances available in Yemen.
