Gaza - Saba:
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) affirmed on Tuesday that "the fate of our Palestinian people in the 1967 occupied territories the West Bank (with Quds at its heart) and the Gaza Strip is not a matter to be experimented with in political laboratories in Western capitals."
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the DFLP emphasized that "the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination on their own land, the establishment of a fully sovereign and independent state, and the resolution of the refugee issue in accordance with UN Resolution 194 - which guarantees their right to return to their homes and properties from which they were displaced in 1948 - is a sacred right that cannot be manipulated or reinterpreted."
The Front called on Western powers to "stop turning the cause of our people - especially in the Gaza Strip - into a testing ground, governed by a mindset of superiority and colonial arrogance that still lingers in the consciousness of several Western capitals, including the United States and Europe."
It stressed that "resolving the situation in Gaza is not a puzzle nor a matter to be exploited by colonial ambitions or the West’s obsessive desire to interfere in the affairs of rising nations."
The DFLP emphasized that the solution in Gaza lies in "an immediate end to the genocide and starvation, the full and immediate withdrawal of the occupation army from the entire Gaza Strip, lifting the siege, and opening all crossings to allow the flow of humanitarian and life-saving aid - including food, water, medicine, sanitation supplies, and dignified shelter materials. It also includes the evacuation of the wounded and critically ill for treatment abroad, the facilitation of efforts to recover the bodies of martyrs and those missing under the rubble, and the dismantling of the 'American death-for-food company.'"
The statement also called for enabling and overseeing the distribution of aid by international and humanitarian agencies, especially UNRWA, and for the restoration and reconstruction of the fragmented society in Gaza.
