Sana’a - SABA:

Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Ali Al-Yafi’i inaugurated today the fine art exhibition “Gaza: Resilience Despite Aggression, Blockade, and Starvation,” organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism over four days with the support and funding of the Heritage and Cultural Development Fund.

Accompanied by First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Dr. Essam Al-Saneeni, and the heads of the Facilities Sector Fahd Nizar and Fine Arts Sector Khaled Al-Junaid, Minister Al-Yafi’i toured the exhibition’s sections. The event coincides with celebrations of the Prophet’s birthday, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.

The exhibition aims to raise public awareness about the Palestinian cause and the crimes of genocide, siege, and starvation inflicted on Gaza by the usurping Zionist entity with American support. It also seeks to highlight Yemen’s honorable stance—both leadership and people—in supporting Palestine, Gaza, and its people in their confrontation with the occupying Zionist entity and global arrogance led by the United States.

Minister Al-Yafi’i and his delegation viewed over 80 art pieces created by more than 60 fine artists and talented individuals, depicting the suffering of Gaza’s people and their legendary resilience despite the aggression and systematic annihilation targeting land, nature, and humanity—reaching the level of starvation amid disgraceful international silence and Arab and Islamic inaction.

The artworks reflected Yemen’s principled stance under the leadership of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, in supporting the Palestinian cause, aiding the people of Gaza, targeting the Zionist enemy by all available means, and inflicting severe economic losses upon it.

They also showcased the creativity of participating artists in portraying the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance, the deep-rooted connection of the Palestinian people to their land despite the massacres committed by the Zionist entity, and the pain, suffering, and starvation they endure. The works exposed the brutal crimes committed against Gaza’s residents and the destruction of the sector’s basic means of life.

Minister Al-Yafi’i praised the creativity of the participating artists, commending their awareness and sense of responsibility toward the Palestinian cause. He expressed pride in the artworks, which captured the strength, steadfastness, and resilience of the resistance despite hardship, as well as the deep bond between Palestine and Yemen and the shared nature of their struggle, suffering, and unity of cause.

He stressed the importance of fine art in raising awareness on the nation’s issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, inspiring the public to build, mobilize, and prepare for the decisive battle of the “True Promise” against the usurping Zionist enemy.

Dr. Al-Yafi’i also emphasized the exhibition’s significance in exposing the crimes of the Zionist enemy and highlighting Yemen’s supportive stance toward Palestine, praising the dedication of fine artists to channeling their creative output in service of the nation’s causes.
