Gaza – Saba:
The Government Media Office in Gaza on Sunday strongly rejected statements made by the Israeli occupation Prime Minister and war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu during a press conference held in occupied al-Quds.
Regarding Netanyahu’s claim that "our goal is not to occupy Gaza but to liberate it," the office called it a blatant misrepresentation. Several Israeli occupation ministers have openly declared plans to fully occupy Gaza and even resettle it.
These ministers include Bezalel Smotrich (Finance), Itamar Ben-Gvir (National Security), Orit Strook (Settlement and National Missions), and Amichai Eliyahu (Heritage). Their statements are well-documented and align with the reality of total destruction, forced displacement, and preparations for permanent control—contrary to Netanyahu’s false claims.
On the claim of "disarming Hamas and establishing a non-Israeli civilian administration," the office said Occupation's true objectives are threefold: genocide and systematic killing, total destruction, and forced displacement, as repeatedly stated by Israeli occupation enemy officials themselves.
The statement highlighted the magnitude of the massacre: over 61,430 martyrs and 153,213 injuries treated in hospitals, with more than 88% of vital infrastructure in Gaza destroyed.
Regarding the "peaceful civilian administration" claim, the office stressed that the occupation seeks to impose a puppet regime that legitimizes its colonial presence, which contradicts basic principles of self-determination. While the world moves toward liberation, the occupation clings to colonization, land theft, destruction, expulsion, forced displacement, and systematic killing.
Addressing Netanyahu’s claim of "delivering 2 million tons of aid," the office exposed this as a blatant lie. The occupation forces have closed crossings for over 500 days during its genocidal war. Only in the last two weeks was a small fraction—about 14% of civilian needs—allowed in, much of which was looted amid orchestrated chaos. The occupation forces killed over 780 aid security personnel to ensure theft and prevent delivery. Additionally, 217 people, including 100 children, have died /killed of starvation due to the enemy blockade.
Regarding the accusation that "Hamas steals aid," international organizations including the World Food Program, OCHA, UNRWA, USAID, and the European Union spokesperson have categorically denied this falsehood.
The office affirmed that international bodies fully oversee aid distribution, and Israel’s policy is systematic starvation under false pretenses, aiming at killing, destruction, and forced displacement to facilitate Gaza’s occupation.
On the claim that "the UN refused to distribute aid," the office clarified that Israel is the party that tightly controls crossings and obstructs aid delivery, complicating relief efforts. Israeli officials stage propaganda scenes with trucks prevented from moving to blame others for starvation, a failed attempt to deceive public opinion. UN agencies have repeatedly demanded Israel open crossings freely.
Regarding "Hamas fabricating images," the office stated that the enemy itself has been proven to manipulate photos and videos using AI, as documented by international observers and journalists. Meanwhile, real footage of destruction, starvation, and killings in Gaza is broadcast transparently worldwide.
On Netanyahu’s repeated claims of a "quick end to the war," the office said facts reveal Israeli occupation's intention to maintain full control over Gaza, prolong genocide, and continue killing, displacement, and starvation, contradicting Netanyahu’s rhetoric.
On "allowing more foreign journalists," the office said since the war began in 2023, the occupation has imposed a total ban on foreign media entry into Gaza to hide its atrocities, despite numerous international calls. The Palestinian government and society support foreign media and urge the international community to pressure Israel to open crossings and allow journalists to work freely.
Regarding claims that "Hamas booby-trapped buildings," the office stated the enemy forces dropped over 140,000 tons of explosives on residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, places of worship, and vital facilities, destroying thousands of structures. Israel has also demolished entire towns using bulldozers, as documented in videos from the Israeli army itself.
On Netanyahu’s claim of "opening safe passages," the office said these corridors turned into death traps where Israeli occupation forces shot civilians at close range, killing over 100, including children and women. Humanitarian teams were prevented from recovering bodies for months until they decomposed.
Regarding the claim "I don’t want to prolong the war," the office called it a lie. Netanyahu’s war has lasted over 670 days of killing, genocide, destruction, and forced displacement.
On "an alternative transitional authority," the office affirmed the Palestinian people reject foreign tutelage and insist on their right to freely choose their leadership under international law. Palestinians will not accept anyone ruling their affairs except themselves. Resistance, in all forms permitted by international law, is a legitimate right against occupation.
