London - Saba:
British authorities arrested 365 people last night during a demonstration in support of the Palestine Action group, which the government banned last July under anti-terrorism laws.
London police reported in a statement that hundreds of demonstrators were arrested, believed to be the highest number ever at a single protest in the British capital, on charges of "supporting a proscribed organization."
London police intervened to break up a demonstration held in central London in support of Palestine Action.
Protesters carried signs reading: "I am against genocide, and I support Palestine Action."
Last Tuesday, London police warned of the possibility of "mass arrest" for any participants in events supporting Palestine Action.
Palestine Action was founded in 2020 and gained notoriety through its activities in Britain after the Israeli entity began committing genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023.
The group is known for carrying out activities to halt production at factories affiliated with companies that do business with Israel. One of its most notable activities was its attack on the Israeli defense company Elbit Systems' factory in Bristol, which disrupted the factory's drone production.
