Taiz - Saba:
Al-Rahda Customs Center in Taiz province destroyed on Sunday a quantity of narcotic drugs previously seized during a smuggling attempt.
Mohammed Al-Jabri, Director of the Center, explained that the destruction process was carried out in the presence of representatives from relevant authorities and Public Funds Prosecution Deputy Judge Bakeel Al-Soufi, in compliance with legal provisions and regulations aimed at protecting society from the dangers of such substances.
He noted that eight types of drugs were destroyed, consisting of 3,106 ampoules and 8,935 strips.
Al-Jabri emphasized that this operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the Customs Authority to combat the smuggling of prohibited, counterfeit, and expired medicines.
He also highlighted the coordination between the Center and security and health authorities to prevent the entry of any products that pose a risk to citizens' health and safety.
