Health Office Staff in Hodeidah & Bajil Hospital hold protest denouncing massacres & starvation crimes in Gaza

Hodeidah - Saba:
The Health and Environment Office in Bajil District and Bajil Central Hospital in Al-Hodeidah Province organized on Sunday a protest stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza and the Palestinian nation, condemning the massacres and crimes of genocide and starvation committed by the American-Zionist enemy against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The protest was led by the Director of the Health Office, Mehran Al-Hassani, Deputy Director of Bajil Central Hospital Ali Al-Sarraji, and a number of medical and health staff. The Secretary-General of the Local Council in the district, Mohammed Ma’afa, described the ongoing killing, siege, and destruction of the health infrastructure in Gaza as a fully constituted war crime, emphasizing that the suspicious international silence provides cover for the enemy to continue committing massacres against children and women.

Participants condemned the brutal massacres targeting residential neighborhoods, hospitals, and displacement camps in Gaza, considering these crimes part of a systematic plan to exterminate the Palestinian people and clear the land of its inhabitants.

They expressed their full solidarity with the people of Gaza, affirming that their humanitarian and professional duty compels them to stand with the oppressed, amplify their voice to the world, and continue exposing the occupation’s crimes that occur before the eyes and ears of the international community.

They called for an immediate halt to the aggression, lifting the imposed siege, and ensuring the unrestricted entry of food, medicine, and medical supplies. They urged international and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities regarding the suffering of the Palestinian people.

A statement read by the Deputy Director of the Health Office in the district, Mukhtar Jibaa, condemned the crimes of the Zionist occupiers targeting health facilities and blocking the entry of medicines, noting that these acts constitute blatant violations of international law.

The statement affirmed that the systematic starvation policy inflicted on the people of Gaza amounts to a war crime surpassing the brutality of the worst historical atrocities, pointing out that the U.S. administration bears full responsibility for these crimes through its political and military support for the occupation.

It highlighted that the continued siege and prevention of aid exacerbate the humanitarian tragedy and threaten the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, women, and patients. The statement called for the urgent opening of crossings without conditions and the regular dispatch of relief convoys.

The statement renewed the call for wide Arab, Islamic, and popular action to support the Palestinian people and intensify activities backing their just cause until the siege is broken , freedom and independence are achieved.
