The Australian Foreign Ministry has called on "Israel" to abandon its plans for the full occupation of the Gaza Strip, warning that permanent forced displacement constitutes a violation of international law.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong stated in a statement on Friday that continuing on this path would worsen the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip.
She pointed out that Australia, in coordination with its international partners, renews its call for a ceasefire, the return of hostages, and the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid.
