Dhamar - Saba:
Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qaheim, inspected on Sunday the progress of work on the paving and rehabilitation project of the public street in Al-Sharq city, Dhamar Province.
The project, implemented by the Public Roads Corporation at a cost of 300 million Yemeni riyals, is funded by the Road Maintenance Fund.
During the visit, accompanied by the Director of the Roads Corporation’s branch in Dhamar, Engineer Mohammed Al-Madani, Minister Qaheim emphasized the commitment to implementing the leadership’s directives in executing service and developmental projects, enhancing infrastructure, and rehabilitating, maintaining, and repairing roads as vital lifelines for the community.
He urged adherence to technical specifications, quality, and precision in implementation to ensure the project’s sustainability in serving citizens.
Minister Qaheim also directed the opening of Al-Sharq city ring road to alleviate pressure on the main street, reduce traffic congestion, and facilitate smoother vehicle movement while preventing accidents.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Public Roads and Bridges Corporation branch explained that the project includes stone paving over a 600-meter stretch with a width of 12 meters, as well as asphalt repairs covering 600 meters with a width of 10 meters.
