The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its armed forces have made advances and penetrated deep into the Ukrainian army's lines, inflicting heavy losses on Kyiv's forces in lives and equipment, including approximately 1,210 Ukrainian soldiers.

The ministry said in a statement: "Units of the Northern Group of Forces have reinforced their positions, targeting Ukrainian armed forces' personnel and equipment in the areas of Alekseevka, Andriyivka, Kondratovka, and Mogritsa in Sumy Oblast."
