Ibb – Saba:
The Ibb Governorate Security Committee, chaired by Governor Abdulwahid Salah, held a meeting today to review preparations for commemorating the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (peace and blessings upon him and his family).
The meeting was attended by Public Mobilization Official Abdul-Fattah Ghallab, Deputy Governor Rakan Al-Naqeeb, Ibb University President Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili, and Police Chief Brigadier General Hadi Al-Kahlani. Discussions focused on the role of security agencies in the governorate and district centers, and the steps needed to maintain public safety and protect both public and private property.
The committee also reviewed the urgent needs of the Civil Defense branch in terms of equipment, vehicles, and personnel—especially important during the rainy season.
Governor Salah stressed the need to intensify coordination among security and public service entities to ensure the event is held in a way that reflects its significance to the people of Ibb and Yemen at large. He emphasized the importance of providing all essential requirements to ensure the success of this religious occasion.
He called for strengthening community partnerships to support security and civil defense efforts in safeguarding lives and property, while underlining the importance of maintaining stability and a strong sense of public responsibility.
Salah also urged readiness for the rainy season by activating emergency plans and ensuring rapid response capabilities to handle any incidents or emergencies that may arise, in order to protect citizens and infrastructure.
