Gaza – SABA
At least 36 Palestinian civilians, including children and a fetus, were killed in Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks across various areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Wednesday. The attacks targeted a residential apartment, a displaced persons’ tent, and several neighborhoods, as part of the ongoing genocide campaign waged by the Israeli army for the 22nd consecutive month, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses cited by Anadolu Agency.
In the latest air raids, three Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli strike on the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, a medical source at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital confirmed. Another Palestinian was killed and one injured in a drone strike near Al-Aybaki Mosque in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.
Twelve bodies were recovered from southern Deir al-Balah in central Gaza following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area. One more Palestinian succumbed to drone injuries in Umm Zuheir, southeast of Deir al-Balah, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital sources.
Intense artillery shelling and airstrikes targeted southeast Deir al-Balah and east of Al-Bureij refugee camp overnight and into early morning. Witnesses reported sustained gunfire from Israeli military vehicles stationed east of central Gaza.
In Al-Nuseirat camp, one Palestinian was killed in a drone strike on a civilian gathering on Al-Ishreen Street, according to Al-Awda Hospital. Another four civilians were killed near an aid distribution point in Wadi Gaza, also in central Gaza, a separate hospital statement confirmed.
In Rafah, southern Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and 40 wounded when Israeli forces targeted people waiting for humanitarian aid near a distribution center in the north of the city. Additionally, three others were killed in an Israeli strike on a group of civilians in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Younis.
Earlier in the day, seven Palestinians — including five children and an unborn baby delivered from the womb of a killed pregnant woman — died when an Israeli airstrike hit an apartment near the state TV building in Tel al-Hawa, Gaza City. Dozens of injuries were reported and taken to Al-Shifa and Al-Quds hospitals.
A girl was killed and 11 others — mostly children — were wounded in a strike on a tent for displaced persons in the Shati Camp amusement park, northwest Gaza City. A paramedic suffered critical injuries when a health ministry ambulance was hit near Hamad Hospital in northern Gaza.
In Khan Younis, at least one person was confirmed dead, with several others injured, after another strike on Bani Suhaila.
Backed by the U.S. and European powers, Israel has been conducting genocidal attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023. As of today, the death toll stands at 59,219 civilians — most of them women and children — with 143,045 wounded, in what remains an incomplete count. Thousands remain trapped under rubble or lying in streets inaccessible to rescue and medical teams.
