Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments in a phone call on Tuesday with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.
Iran's Mehr News Agency reported that the two sides discussed regional developments during the call, particularly the Zionist regime's escalating attacks on the defenseless people of Gaza, as well as its military aggression against Syria.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi strongly condemned the Zionist regime's crimes in Gaza and its escalating genocide of the Palestinian people, particularly its deprivation of water and food. He called for serious and immediate action by Islamic countries, including holding a summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and activating a regional consultative mechanism to halt the genocide in Gaza and confront the Zionist regime's war campaigns against countries in the region.
For his part, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan condemned the Zionist entity's crimes and attacks on Gaza and Syria, stressing the need for Islamic countries to take immediate and coordinated action to halt the Zionist entity's criminal actions.
