Gaza - Saba:
Hamas leader Basem Naim confirmed Wednesday evening that it is interested in reaching a ceasefire and ending the war as soon as possible, out of concern for the Palestinian people and their future in the Gaza Strip.
Naim said in press statements, "Since the first day of negotiations, we have been striving for this goal, but we cannot accept the perpetuation of the occupation or surrendering our people to living in enclaves under the control of the Zionist enemy, similar to 'Nazi concentration camps.'"
He added that the enemy, to date, insists on remaining in the city of Rafah, south of the Morag axis, and seeks to deepen its military presence throughout the Gaza Strip based on the facts after March 2, 2025.
He indicated that the enemy army wants to maintain the current aid mechanism, which he described as "death traps," stressing that it has not offered any real guarantees to end the war.
Naim stressed that what Netanyahu failed to achieve during 22 months of war and famine, he will not succeed in achieving at the negotiating table.
