Iranian Parliamentary source: IAEA surveillance cameras removed
Iranian Parliamentary source: IAEA surveillance cameras removed
Iranian Parliamentary source: IAEA surveillance cameras removed
[Wed, 09 Jul 2025 22:56:48 +0300]

Tehran - Saba:

Esmail Kowsari, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, announced that, based on a parliamentary decision, the agency's surveillance cameras have been removed from Iranian nuclear facilities, and a large number of its inspectors have also left the country.

According to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, Kowsari said on Wednesday: These measures were taken in accordance with the law passed by Parliament.

He added: "The agency's inspectors decided to leave Iran themselves based on the new law. This decision is the result of strict implementation of Parliament's decision."

The member of Parliament's National Security Committee also said: "Unfortunately, during his recent visits to Iran, Grossi gathered information that he later provided to the Americans and the Zionist entity.

This unprofessional and trustworthy behavior has led to the suspension of cooperation with the agency being placed on Parliament's agenda."

On June 24, the Iranian Parliament approved the general plan and its details for suspending cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.

According to the parliamentary resolution on the plan to suspend cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), IAEA personnel are not permitted to enter the country for inspection unless the security of the country's nuclear facilities and peaceful nuclear activities is guaranteed.

This is also subject to the approval of the Supreme National Security Council.
