Nablus / Al Khalil – Saba:

Israeli settlers shot and wounded a Palestinian man in the leg on Wednesday evening during an attack on the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus. Simultaneously, other settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, set up mobile homes in Al Khalil city and tents on land belonging to the village of Beit Imrin, northwest of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Palestinian News Agency Wafa, settlers opened fire on the man during their raid on Aqraba.

In a related development, settlers—backed by Israeli forces—installed three mobile homes on Jabal al-Rahma (Mount of Mercy) in Hebron, near the Tel Rumeida settlement. Local sources said these structures aim to expand settlement control in the area, which has already witnessed extensive land confiscations and is subjected to harsh Israeli security measures designed to force Palestinian residents out.

Earlier, Israeli forces set up three other mobile homes in Khazaf al-Far and Souq al-‘Ateeq in Hebron’s Old City, part of ongoing efforts to expand settlement outposts and entrench their presence in the heart of the city.

Meanwhile, settlers pitched about four tents on Palestinian land between the villages of Burqa and Beit Imrin, according to Murad Shteiwi, Director of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee in northern West Bank. He warned that this move signals the establishment of a new settlement outpost in the area.

Shteiwi added that the creation of such outposts is part of a broader strategy to connect large Israeli settlement blocs across strategic areas. Since the beginning of this year alone, 23 new settlement outposts have been established, most of them used for grazing purposes.
