Sa'ada - Saba:
Sa'ada province witnessed 18 massive processions on Sunday in the province center and its districts, commemorating Ashura, the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
During the central procession in Sa'ada city, led by the province’s leadership, scholars, and social figures, participants raised slogans denouncing the enemies of the nation—America and Israel—and banners honoring the blessed Hussein revolution.
They affirmed that the Yemeni people look to Imam Hussein (pbuh) as a role model, leader, and guide, marking this occasion from the battlefield of confrontation against the nation’s enemies, offering martyrs and sacrifices in the path of Imam Hussein against tyrants and oppressors.
In a speech delivered by the leader of the mobilization forces in the province, Ali Al-Dhahiri, he stated that the Yemeni people commemorate this painful and tragic event in the nation’s history out of faith, solidarity with the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and unwavering loyalty to him and his pure family, reaffirming their commitment to Islam.
He emphasized that Imam Hussein’s blessed uprising represents the true continuation of Islam as a model of guidance and leadership.
"The reality today mirrors the tragedy of Karbala," Al-Dhahiri said. "Just as Imam Hussein and his companions were killed, besieged, starved, and betrayed by members of their own nation, the people of Gaza today endure the same details of tragedy—killed by brutal Israeli and American weapons, besieged, and abandoned by those in their own nation who support the enemy."
He added that Imam Hussein’s movement remains a guiding light for Islam and future generations, despite the darkness imposed by tyrannical rulers and corrupt scholars.
Al-Dhahiri stressed that the stance of the Yemeni people today mirrors that of Imam Hussein—standing against oppressors, refusing to submit to corruption, and defending the nation’s values.
He affirmed that the Yemeni people, the land of faith and wisdom, mark this occasion as they did last year—from the battlefield of jihad, answering the call, offering martyrs, and raising the banner with millions gathering in squares and steadfastly holding the frontlines.
He renewed Yemen’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian resistance, vowing never to retreat from their principled, moral, and humanitarian stance in defending Palestine—its people, land, sanctities—and confronting the enemies of God, the Zionist Jews and their allies.
