Occupied Quds - Saba:
Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—described as a war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court—of waging a “false” war in the Gaza Strip for personal political purposes.
Speaking at a massive demonstration in Rabin Square in central Jaffa (Tel Aviv) on Wednesday evening, Ya'alon said that Netanyahu “continues to sacrifice hostages and soldiers to stay in power.”
He called for an end to the war, stating: “This is a war of political deception aimed at preserving coalition unity and keeping the person responsible for the October 7 disaster in office. He is the leader—Netanyahu—and he is accountable.”
Ya'alon further accused Netanyahu of forming what he called a “coalition of loyalists, manipulators, and the corrupt to crush the judicial system,” and charged him with deliberately prolonging the war.
He added: “This is the longest war in our history—futile and false—where soldiers and hostages are being sacrificed on the altar of political interests. Netanyahu abandoned the hostages from the very first day of the campaign.”
Ya'alon's remarks come amid growing public anger within the occupying entity, alongside increasing political and international pressure to end the war and resolve the hostage crisis that has persisted since October 7.
