UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated that the UN Charter and international law are being repeatedly violated by some member states, particularly in the context of the war on Gaza.
He emphasized that nations must honor the commitments they have signed. Addressing global perceptions, Dujarric acknowledged that the UN has "failed to protect the Palestinian people."
He added that the Secretary-General and all UN staff remaining in Gaza are doing their utmost to protect civilians and help them survive with the limited resources available.
