Cairo – SABA:
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Wednesday statements by Israeli officials calling for the annexation of the occupied West Bank and the “imposition of sovereignty” over it.
In an official statement, the ministry firmly rejected these statements, which it described as contrary to international law and aimed at entrenching the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian land and undermining the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state, and East Quds as its capital—reflecting the territorial unity of all Palestinian lands.
Egypt emphasized its rejection of blatant Israeli violations in the West Bank, including military raids, arrests, and the expansion of illegal settlements, in parallel with the ongoing crimes in Gaza that aim to destroy all aspects of Palestinian life.
The statement called on the international community to intervene immediately to put an end to these violations and emphasized the need for collective international efforts to realize the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people—foremost among them, the establishment of their independent state on their full national territory.
