Occupied al-Quds - Saba:

Wadi Hilweh Information Center in occupied al-Quds has documented 12 demolitions and closures in the Holy City during June.

In a report issued Tuesday, the center explained that the demolitions affected residential, commercial, and agricultural facilities, as well as the closure of commercial establishments under the pretext that they employed Palestinians with West Bank ID cards.

The demolitions varied between self-demolitions, in which families were forced to carry out the demolition themselves to avoid heavy fines, and demolitions carried out by Israeli municipal crews supported by police forces.

According to the center, Israeli authorities continued their arrest campaigns in al-Quds during June, carrying out daily arrests from the city.

The arrests included children, youths, women, and the elderly, in addition to hundreds of arrests of Palestinians with West Bank ID cards, under the pretext of "illegal residence in al-Quds."

On June 25, 2025, Mrs. Zahia Joudeh al-Obeidi, 66, was killed by enemy fire while sitting with her family on the roof of their apartment building in the Shuafat refugee camp, northeast of al-Quds.

Regarding the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the report confirmed that the mosque witnessed an unprecedented escalation in the nature of violations during June, which the center described as a "dangerous precedent."

The report explained that these violations included the introduction of Jewish religious rituals, including wine and "holy bread."

It also explained that extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed the mosque and demanded that settlers be allowed to perform their rituals, sing, and dance inside the mosque without any police objection. It also imposed a closure and siege during the war.

On June 13, Israeli enemy authorities completely closed al-Aqsa Mosque, allowing entry only to employees of the Islamic Waqf Department. It was then partially reopened five days later, opening only Hatta and Silsilah gates, with strict restrictions imposed on the number of worshipers permitted to enter, limiting them to 500 people.

On June 22, it was closed again, allowing only Islamic Waqf employees to enter, until it was reopened on the 24th.

Regarding eviction orders, the Information Center reported that three Maqdeseyan families—al-Rajabi, Awda, and Shuwaiki—received court orders to evict their homes and residential buildings in Batn al-Hawa neighborhood, threatening approximately 25 individuals with forced displacement.

In the town of Umm Tuba, south of al-Quds, the so-called "Enemy Lands Authority" delivered eviction orders to 18 homes, most of which had been built with official permits over the past years.
