Doha - Saba:
Hamas leader Abdulkarim Hanini has stressed that the occupation's plan to seize large areas of land in Ya'bad and Tubas for military and settlement projects constitutes a new crime aimed at imposing gradual annexation and displacement, leading to the complete takeover of the West Bank.
In a press statement, Hanini warned of "the occupation's settlement policies and plans and the escalating crimes of its settlers, stressing that they will not succeed in bending the will of our people or obliterating the true identity of the Palestinian land."
Hamas leader added: "We support our steadfast people in the face of displacement projects in all governorates of the West Bank and al-Quds, and we call on them to unite under the option of confrontation and defense of their land. Our people are resilient despite all the brutality and attempts at confiscation and plunder."
He called on "the international community to assume its responsibilities and end its silence regarding the ethnic cleansing and systematic forced displacement to which our people are being subjected, and to work to hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes against our land and our people."
