Washington - Saba:
American media reported that the United States used approximately 30 Tomahawk missiles launched from submarines to strike Iranian nuclear sites last night.
Fox News reported on Sunday, without revealing the source of the information, that the targets of these strikes were nuclear infrastructure facilities located in the cities of Natanz and Isfahan.
On Saturday night, the United States launched a blatant aggression against Iran, targeting three Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. US President Donald Trump said the goal of the strikes was to limit Iran's nuclear capabilities, stressing that Tehran must agree to "end this war," or Iran will face more serious consequences.
For its part, the Iranian parliament announced that Tehran had anticipated an attack on the Fordow nuclear facility and had evacuated it in advance, and that the facility had not suffered irreparable damage. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran confirmed that Tehran had no intention of halting the development of its nuclear program despite the strikes.
The US attack sparked negative international reactions, with UN Secretary-General António Guterres describing it as "a dangerous escalation in the region and a direct threat to international peace and security."
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla also condemned the US aggression against Iran, describing it as "an irresponsible criminal act that violates international law and has unforeseen consequences."
Conversely, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie criticized the US strikes, considering them unconstitutional, while Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York described them as "justification for impeachment."
