Washington - (Saba):
The New York Times quoted an informed official as saying that the U.S. military dropped several 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs in its attack on Iran's Fordow nuclear site.
The official told the American newspaper: "Several 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs were dropped on the Fordow nuclear facility at dawn today."
Fordow is one of three Iranian facilities targeted by US bombs and missiles at dawn today, marking the first direct and overt US intervention in the conflict between Israel and Iran, which has been ongoing since June 13.
Earlier, Fox News reported that the United States used approximately 30 Tomahawk missiles launched from submarines to strike Iranian nuclear sites last night.
